It is all known that Bollywood’s blockbuster movie Home Bound made it to second level Oscars nominations list. Although a total of 24 movies including Pushpa 2, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, Kannappa, and Kuberaa were shortlisted from India, the Oscars committee picked only Home Bound in the second level. This is a great pick as the story revolves around two young boys who belong to a small town. They aspire to become police officers and work hard towards their goal by making an attempt to pass the National Police Exam. They friendship and enmity and love towards Janhvi Kapoor engaged the audience in the theatres. Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor’s amazing screen presence and the rural backdrop bagged the critical acclaim from the critics.

Although Home Bound reached to the second level of nominations, its hard to reach the final 5… Home Bound now found its place in the ‘Best International Feature Film’ category nominations at the 98th Academy Awards. Going to the next level, now the jury will once again watch the movies and vote again to pick the final 5 best movies. All the eligible Academy voters will do it in February and then the final decision will be take in the March.
Well, Home Bound movie was also screened at the ‘Toronto International Film Festival’ and emerged as the second runner-up for the International People’s Choice Award.
