It is all known that Roshan Kanakala and director Sandeep Raj’s ‘Mowgli’ was supposed to hit the theatres on 12th December, 2025! But all of a sudden Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 arrival hit them hard! Mowgli had no choice expect to postpone their release date. Earlier even Akhanda 2 makers received backlash for not clearing their financial issues with EROS production house. This made them pay heavily as Madras High Court issued a stay order on Akhanda 2 release date which was supposed to release on 5th December, 2025.
This just shook Tollywood and gave a reality check to all the ace producers in the film industry. But finally, the Akhanda 2 makers cleared all their issues with the help of Tollywood’s ace producers and are all ready to hit the big screens on 12th… Premiers are all set to stream on 11th both in India and Overseas. So, there is a huge buzz on this Boyapati’s directorial.
Amid all this chaos, Mowgli movie had to face the wrath! This made director Sandeep emotional and disappointed. So, he dropped a tweet cursing his bad luck. His tweet just made many go teary-eyed. His pain and agony melted the hearts. But some of them stated it as a publicity stunt.
Anyway, the makers of the Mowgli movie also locked 13th December as their new release date and made the way for Akhanda 2. This is definitely a great solution for the Mowgli movie. If the content works out, it can too beat Akhanda 2 as small movies always come up with surprise package. You never know until the movie gets released.
So, finally Sandeep opened up on this issue and hit back the trollers with a befitting reply…
His pos reads, “First of all let me clarify my dear brother… I never wanted to cook any sympathy dramas over anyone. Yesterday morning we recieved a call that we are pushed to February or April in 2026 which made me emotional and tweet about my fate. But, as the day progressed all the distributors along with our producers thought of bringing it little earlier with a good release date where we were left with no option. So, the movie got locked to Dec 13th as we have huge releases for Christmas and Sankranti. I am not at all celebrating now, i really want support from everyone as much as possible and dont want to face heat from anyone. My respect towards Akhanda is immense and you can see that in interview. Requesting you to stop changing narratives of my words.”
Finally, Akhanda 2 will hit the theatres on 12th having their premiers screened on 11th while Mowgli will have its premiers on 12th and hit the silver screens on 13th. This is the best solution for the both movies and a great weekend treat for all the movie lovers!
