The Garuda Purana provides solutions to every problem we encounter in life.
Especially for subjects like birth, karma, and moksha, it offers deep and meaningful guidance. The actions (karma) we perform not only influence our present life but also impact our future existence. To understand the cycle of worldly life (saṁsāra), karma plays a major role in attaining moksha.

Based on the actions one performs, rebirth occurs. Only the body dies—not the soul. Birth, death, and rebirth continue endlessly, while the soul remains conscious throughout. However, when the soul takes birth as a human being, it gains the rare opportunity to free itself from accumulated karma.

When one lives a life rooted in dharma, compassion towards all beings, and spiritual contemplation, the soul becomes eligible for liberation from rebirth—this is the teaching of the Garuda Purana.

The soul is eternal consciousness. Until it attains complete moksha, it keeps changing bodies. According to one’s karma, the next birth is determined. Moksha is attained only when the total karmic balance becomes zero, allowing the soul to merge with the Divine and end the cycle of birth.

Sages state that even after millions of births, moksha is not easily attained. They also mention that in a span of a hundred years, not even one soul may achieve liberation. But those who choose the righteous path and live accordingly receive a better birth in the next life, progressing steadily toward liberation.
