Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar’s sudden demise just shocked the whole country. The deadly plane crash and his demise made the government officials and the close relatives of Ajith ji go teary eyed. Even Eknath Shinde who serves as the Deputy CM of the state along with Ajith ji also penned an emotional note on social media stating that no one can replace Ajit’s place…
His post reads, “Today, a mountain of grief has collapsed upon Maharashtra. It is an extremely painful and shocking day. The shock of the passing of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar is immensely profound for the entire Maharashtra and personally for me. We have lost a generous-hearted, affable, accomplished, studious, and straightforward leader today. Ajitdada was older than me in age and also in political experience. I am saddened to have lost an excellent colleague and, beyond that, an elder brother. “Karato, baghto, sangto” [Do it, watch it, tell it]—these words were not in Ajitdada’s dictionary. He had the courage to point out mistakes and, when necessary, to give a piece of his mind. Hypocrisy, saying one thing with his lips and meaning another, was not in Ajitdada’s nature. He was straightforward in speech but had an extremely pure heart—this is the kind of leader he was. He was known as a leader of the workers. To the common man, he felt like one of their own. As an MLA, MP, and minister, Ajitdada made his illustrious political career shine through his own merit. For the past 40 years, Dada maintained his dominance in politics. Ajitdada adorned the position of Deputy Chief Minister six times. In the portfolios of finance, planning, irrigation, water resources, and energy, he did remarkably noteworthy and people-oriented work. He had thorough knowledge of agriculture and the cooperative sector. He had an accurate grasp of economic developments. He understood Maharashtra’s political-social issues. He had a strong hold on administration. As Finance Minister, Dada never let the state’s financial clock falter. Without letting development works come to a halt, he ensured that the funding we announced for the Ladki Bahin scheme did not fall short. He made financial provisions for many development projects in the state. Today, Dada is no longer with us, and from tomorrow onward, he won’t be seen anymore—this very thought doesn’t sit well with the mind. Time has also cast its shadow on the Pawar family. This moment is extremely sorrowful for them, and no words will suffice to console them. Along with the workers of the Nationalist Congress Party, millions of people in Maharashtra today feel orphaned. Ajitdada’s passing has caused immeasurable loss to the state. On behalf of Shiv Sena, I pay heartfelt tribute to him.”
RIP Ajit ji…
